About Hiring Library

About Hiring LibraryUniversity students are involved in miscellaneous activities e.g. dissertation, university events, writing summer training reports, classes, course work and finally job interviews.

To prepare for job interviews, university students consult their seniors, friends, search the web and look for other sources of information.

This is an ongoing process, because even after getting the job, we encounter changes or shifting in our career.

We can also find ourselves in a position to interview candidates. Every time, we need to prepare ourselves as an interviewee or as an interviewer.

“Hiring Library is meant as a reference to provide practical thoughts about hiring/preparation for software engineering jobs”

example : question/answers related to general areas, past project areas, skills areas, thought process ,how tos, BEHAVIOURAL aspects, accomplishments, past achievements and many more…

While interviewing candidates for a job, an interviewer is looking for specific information(Its already given that he or she already gone through from the preliminary screening e.g. resume shortlisted, work samples seen, trivial background check made, phone call was made). There are many different reasons that the interviewers are unable to attain that information, for example the candidate may not have organized their answers in a way to convey the information properly to the interviewer, or , maybe the interviewer did not ask the relevant information from the candidate.

*It doesn’t mean that if the candidate didn’t convince the interviewer then he lacks skills or something else, as sooner or later surely he will get a decent job.

This is the same from the employer’s side.

*It doesn’t mean that if the employer didn’t hire this candidate then he will not hire anyone, sooner or later surely the employer will find the candidate.

Results: a lengthy process for the candidate to get the right job or employer to select the right candidate.

With such thoughts in mind, I founded HiringLibrary.com, in order to help both interviewers and interviewee as a reference to plan their conversation.

In Other ways –

Hiring Library provide a reference to minimize the regret for a candidate after the interview – “Ohh – Even I didn’t prepare – Tell me about yourself ?”

OR

For Employer -” All candidates looks same to me,  Ohh Now I know – I didn’t ask proper questions to the candidate to get the right insight”
